Cancer Survivor Farai Ngubo Inspires Hope and Advocacy as 2026 Begins

Harare, Zimbabwe – As the New Year approaches, Felicitas Farai Ngubo’s journey as a breast cancer survivor serves as a source of inspiration and resilience. At 51, she has transformed her battle against cancer into a mission to uplift others facing similar challenges.

Diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2023, Felicitas encountered both the physical toll of the disease and the stigma that often accompanies it. “Facing discrimination at work due to my illness was incredibly challenging,” she shares. Choosing to prioritize her health, she resigned from her job to focus on recovery.

Through her experiences, Felicitas has come to champion the importance of compassionate care. “Understanding and compassion are essential during difficult times,” she asserts. This realization led her to establish an organization that provides dignity and support for cancer patients.

As 2026 dawns, Felicitas urges the community to take proactive steps toward health awareness: “Early detection can save lives. Regular check-ups should be a priority.”

Additionally, she encourages those facing difficulties to visit Happy Homes Care Services, a Harare-based home care provider. “Our services are tailored to meet the individual needs of your loved ones in the comfort of their own home,” she explains. “From assistance with daily living activities to specialized care, we ensure our patients can remain independent and comfortable in their familiar surroundings, including medication management and mobility assistance.”

Felicitas’s advocacy aims to inspire hope among those impacted by cancer. “When I hear about someone neglected and suffering from cancer, it deeply affects me. I share my story to restore hope and encourage action,” she notes.

Her narrative highlights the power of community and resilience. As the New Year unfolds, Felicitas Farai Ngubo stands as a testament to the strength of the human spirit, encouraging others to face life’s challenges with courage and determination.
